Gives AI assistants such as Claude Desktop and Codex read-only access to your Zotero library through a local endpoint. They can read the open paper, selection, notes, annotations and collections, and fetch publisher PDFs into temporary files using your institutional access.

AI chat apps cannot see the papers on your computer. This lets you ask about the paper you have open or search your library without uploading files. Any program on your computer can query the endpoint while Zotero runs.
