Syncs PDFs, highlights and notes both ways with a reMarkable tablet via its cloud. Zotero annotations are burned into the PDF; tablet highlights, handwriting and typed text return as annotations and notes.

Reading and marking up papers on e-ink otherwise means moving files by hand. It never modifies your own Zotero annotations, and updates the PDF without losing what you wrote on the tablet.
